About

The Theatrical Dance Syllabus and Video: Components of Partnered Choreography was written to provide the qualified, professional dance teacher with a comprehensive, structured curriculum for the study and teaching of exhibition, show and theatrical dance in the DanceSport Genre.

The syllabus book and video focus on the core, elemental building-block components that form the foundation of theatrical partner dance along with suggested teaching methods. These components are grouped by levels of difficulty with an easy to use dot system. Taken together it creates structured progress for the student from novice to highly skilled theatrical dancer.

Testimonials

“I have been working with my student on the basic components about three times a week. It has notably improved her motor skills and keeps her interested.”

“It allows me to use terminology so that he now understands what is being asked of him.”

“I am using the port de bras section with all of my students as it is easy to understand and provides an organized way to transition from one position to another.”

“I like the 'dot system' because it highlights the degree of difficulty of an action.”
